ANYONE ELSE TIRED OF PORN PASSING AS ART ON HERE?! No, I'm not against nudity, I'm against DeviantArt allowing graphic porn to be on here, and i'm tired of every attention starved girl/boy posting naked pictures of themselves or others. No matter if u play with black and white, or angle it this way or that way, it ISN'T ART just because so! This goes 4 other mediums also (esp anime!). Have some tact and respect. If I wanted to aimlessly browse through porn, there are other sites for that. Shame on DA for allowing it. Too bad ppl wanting to browse ACTUAL art can't do so without being bombarded by such vulgar images. DA has become an embarrassment, & needs to fine tune what THEY call porn (they don't think a woman exposing her entire vulva and anus in a sexual manner is porn!)
Take a look at a teenaged boy's "favourites" collection, and you will find it full of pornographic images of women. (no, of course not ALL boys.) Saturating himself with these images, how do u then think he views women and the girls in his class? What do u think his expectations for the female form are? Does he think all women just want to take their clothes off and pose for men; to be ogled and objectified? And these young girls, in turn, are now left to feel less than adequate, able too, to compare themselves to the vast pornographic images they see. Is it any wonder that more and more young girls r exposing themselves sexually, thinking that this is the norm, and that posing and acting sexually is what is expected of them and how to get attention?
    
I wouldn't say by definition I'm a prude, but by todays standards I think I am. How sad that "slut" is an insult, but now, being a "prude" is deemed to be even worse.  Our sex-obsessed culture is damaging, tainting attitudes and perceptions toward themselves and others.
